We are hiring a Motion Designer to bring our brand to life through slick animation and captivating video content for social, web, Connected TV, and internal platforms.
Location
- Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
- Work type: Full-time, on-site within our buzzing online marketing team
- Salary range: R25,000 – R31,500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
The role: What you will do
You will craft engaging motion content across the full production cycle, from storyboard and design to edit and final render.
- Design and produce 2D animation, motion graphics, and short- and long-form video
- Develop storyboards, style frames, and visual concepts that match our brand voice and campaigns
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and digital strategists on creative concepts and deliverables
- Own video content across pre-production, production, and post-production
- Deliver assets for digital ads, social campaigns, websites, internal videos, and Connected TV
- Track motion design trends and integrate relevant techniques into our content
- Optimise outputs for platforms and placements, ensuring technical excellence and strong visual impact
- Assist with static design when needed to support integrated campaigns
What you need to succeed
- Matric
- A relevant tertiary qualification in film, multimedia, animation, or visual communication
- 2+ years of motion design, animation, or video content creation
- Experience in insurance or financial services is a strong advantage
Tools and skills
- Adobe After Effects at expert level
- Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Solid post-production workflows, including editing and colour grading
- Understanding of digital, still, and motion capture principles
- Strong storytelling, typography, composition, and visual communication
- Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-driven with reliable time management
