A word from the king

Our blog… Blah blah blah

Don’t be the April fool, be insured

Ah yes, April Fools’ Day. The 1 day a year when pranks aren’t only allowed… But strongly encouraged. We love a good laugh, and this particular day doesn’t pass us by without a couple of jokes and harmless pranks.

Of course, there are times when a prank can go from something funny to, how shall we put it? A complete disaster that ends up with smoke, tears, and broken pieces of your mum’s favourite vase. That’s where insurance from the king is pretty handy, stepping in and providing you with the cover you need to wipe away the tears and buy your dear mama a new vase. It can’t, unfortunately, protect you from the right scolding you’re in for.

Here’s a tongue-in-cheek look at some ’accidents‘ that might happen and how the right cover can save the day.

The classic car switcheroo

Imagine swapping a friend’s car keys so that you can move their car into a different spot. You only wanted to give them a little fright, but as you reversed out, you accidentally dinged their bumper on a sneaky pole. What was meant to be funny has turned into an awkward insurance claim.

Thankfully, with comprehensive car insurance, these kinds of mishaps are usually covered. Hopefully offering to pay the excess will smooth things over with your friend. And maybe you should think twice before pulling that prank again.

Oops, there goes the TV

You’re hiding behind a door, ready to jump out and scare someone, and boy did you do a good job. They practically had to change their unmentionables, which was brilliant, but they also knocked over the TV. Less brilliant. Before you reach for the superglue to see how you can fill in the cracks (note, this will absolutely not work), call us. If you have the king’s home contents insurance, which is a true lifesaver, you’re in luck. This policy covers accidental damage to your household items, including your television.

The surprise slip-and-slide

Did someone think it would be hilarious to turn the living room floor into a slippery obstacle course? Was that someone you? So, this isn’t the worst idea and could surprise your siblings as they slip their way around the lounge.

Again, another example of how King Price steps in so that 1 bad idea doesn’t end up costing you big.

April Fools’ Day Pranks gone wrong? No problem
